BEASTLY THEORIES - is a low tech, low key, low brow endeavour, hosted by author of Beasts of Britain & Beasts of the World book series - Andy McGrath, as an attempt to discuss the highs and lows of paranormal research and obsession. Although ’podcast’ in name, the ’show’ is more of an exercise in nepotism, as Andy seeks conversation with those embroiled in the subject he is chiefly interested in, and determines to avail himself (and you) of the prize of knowledge that lies inside their brawny brains.

Beastly Theories (Episode 21) Mark Muncy - Freaky Florida!
Tuesday May 07, 2019
Tuesday May 07, 2019
Mark Muncy has written horror, fantasy and science fiction for over three decades. As the creator of Hellview Cemetery haunted attraction in St. Petersburg he began to study the legends, lore and paranormal in Florida quite extensively.
When the city of St. Petersburg banned Hellview Cemetery for being too scary, he devoted himself to preserving the lore behind the legendary haunted house in book form. Thus his books "31 Tales of Hellview Cemetery" and "Tales of Terror of Tampa Bay" were born. Both were written and recently revised with co-author Elizabeth Abbott. Inspired by the numerous folk tales, legends and lore of his home state of Florida, Mark set out with his fiancé, illustrator Kari Schultz, to explore the myths of the Sunshine State. This led to his best-selling books, "Eerie Florida" and "Freaky Florida" from the History Press.
Mark Muncy currently resides in Central Florida with his fiancé, illustrator Kari Schultz on the remains of Hellview Cemetery in Florida.
